    It looks like we missed an update. Most SSL secured access to websites was restored overnight Sunday, however an issue with mail services remained. The final problems reported with this server appear to be resolved at this time and we're marking this server as resolved and active again.   • Our network administrators have identified a failure of the network preventing one of our shared hosting servers from operating properly.

    Depending on where you are globally, you may or may not have access to the content hosted on the Cs9 shared hosting server. Our admins are working to restore service, but no ETA has been provided at this time. No data has been lost and the server itself is running normally but until this network issue is resolved, communications to this server will be offline for most of the world.

    Once we have any further news, we will update this notice.

    UPDATE: 4:30 EST: Full service has been restored. Our administrators continue to monitor this situation to try and prevent a repeat occurrence.

Hardware Maintenance Underway for US1 (Resolved)

  • Our administrators have begun hardware maintenance for the US1 hosting server. Once it's complete, it will also have a new name: CS9.

    Most sites will be unaffected by this migration, but you may see odd issues with your site if your script does operate properly on newer versions of PHP. This is a *temporary* problem. The migration procedure will copy your php settings over, but there may be a time delay of several hours, and during this time, you may see weird php errors or other problems with your site.

    If you need a fix to your domain immediately due to this issue, please submit a ticket to support.

    Once this maintenance is complete, this notice will be updated. It is expected to take several hours to complete.

    UPDATE: (April 17) - maintenance complete! If you have any problems with any sites on this server, please let us know.

  • CS2.uhcloud.com is currently doing a routine backup.  This backup requires a full block scan meaning it checks the entire backup structure and verifies each block.  During this time there may be slower than normal ping times and slower than normal FTP access/cPanel access.  Once the backup completes the server will be running optimally again.

  • At approx 8pm EST we will be shutting down the CS1 Shared hosting server for maintenance.  We are performing electricity and data center upgrades which requires us to shutdown the server.

    We are doing this maintenance tonight during non-peak hours or business hours to limit customer impact.  We will do our best to get the server back online and operational.

Sunncity server migrating to new hardware (Resolved)

  • The Sunncity hosting server is being migrated to new hardware today. No downtime is expected during the migrate itself, however updating the content of your website during this migration may fail as there may be a delay between the copying the contents of your account and the domain switch to the new IP. Changes made between these two times will likely not be preserved and will have to be performed again once your domain's IPs have been updated for the new servers.

    The following are the nameservers your domains should be using for this server:

    All domains already using these nameservers should continue to operate normally without problems after the migrations. Any domains using custom nameservers will need to be updated with new HOST (or child nameserver) records.   • At 11pm EST on February 21st 2013 we will be moving the following shared hosting servers to our new fiber connected area of our data center.  The migration means we will gracefully shutdown the following servers and then move them physically and then boot them.

    cs5.uhcloud.com
    cs6.uhcloud.com

    Customers on the above servers will lose all connectivity (website/email/databases/FTP/SSH etc)

    The downtime should take between 1 to 2 hours at a maximum.  We will do everything we can to expedite the process and appreciate your patience and co-operation while we do this upgrade/migration.

  • At approximately 4:00 AM this morning our time (EST), the Cs2 hosting server went down. Our admins were able to restart the server, but the server decided that a full filesystem check was required to maintain stability. It is performing this now, but we have no firm ETA for how much longer it will take

    Update: The server is approximately %60 complete filesystem checks. They should be finished soon.

    Once these checks are complete, the system will bring itself back online and hosting services will resume as normal.

    Each individual VPS and Dedicated Server is now performing filesystem and quota checks and will come online as they complete.     Our administrators have begun critical hardware maintenance on one of our VPS hardware nodes. This outage will only affect some of our VPS services.

    Scope: HostUpon Admins will be applying firmware updates to core networking equipment, in addition to upgrading the edge routers.

    Impact:Approximately 1-2 hours of downtime is expected as the equiptment will be moved in the Data Center.  We will do our best to make the downtime as short as possible.

    Fallback Plan: Revert to original firmware and backup configurations.

Our admins are investigating, but at this time, the full cause of this issue is unknown. All sites on the cs2 hosting server are currently offline, and we're doing everything we can to bring service back online as soon as possible.

    Once more news - or an estimate on how long it will take - is available, this notice will be updated.

Supernova Offline for Required Maintenance (Resolved)

  • At this time our admins have taken the Supernova hosting server offline for unexpected, but required filesystem maintenance. We expect the outage to last approximately one hour. Once service has been restored, we will update this notice.

    No information has been lost at this time. During the outage your site may appear mostly operational depending on how much SQL access your site uses, but it is expected to be taken completely offline for the majority of the maintenance.

    --Update-- 1:30PM: Maintenance is taking longer than expected, but has not halted. This is due to the size of the disk partition and how long it takes to complete filesystem check operations. Once it completes, the server should be ready to bring online. We will continue to keep this post updated with information as it's available.

     

    --Update-- The filesystemc check has completed and the server is back up and opterating normally at this time.

  • Due to a hardware failure, the Earth hosting server is currently offline while new hardware is installed.     This is unplanned maintenance being performed as a result of hardware failure, so we had no chance to warn anyone before it went down. For that, we do apologize.

  • Our administrators have begun maintenance on the galaxy hosting server. This notice is being posted because the IP addresses for the server will be changing.

    All customers using custom nameserver records (instead of using the hostupon nameservers) will need to update thier nameserver records! The new IP addresses for your nameservers are:

    199.16.154.3

    199.16.154.4

    Because these are our clustered domain nameservers, they already contain your records so it is safe to update your nameservers now before the maintenance is complete. If you do so, you should not notice any major outages for your site.

    The server will be brought down for roughly 1-2 hours maximum however we will do our best to get the server online ASAP.  This is an upgrade as well as system checks to ensure the server is faster, more stable and optimal.

     

    Update 2:50PM EST:  The server is back online, we will be monitoring services however as of right now all websites are operational

  • Our administrators received reports of outage a short while ago and have begun a combined software/hardware upgrade on the Cloud hosting server to resolve it. At this time, php services on the server are down. (You will see "internal server error" reports. HTML rendering is still working, as is cPanel and mysql services. Email is also unaffected at this time.)

    Our administrators are doing everything possible to get this fixed as quickly as possible but unfortunately we do not yet have an estimate of how long this will take.

    Once we have any further details, this notice will be updated.

     

    UPDATE: 5:30PM EDT June 20 2011:

    PHP service has been restored and sites are back up and running. The server is now running APACHE and php 5.3. Since it is no longer running Litespeed HTTPD, many of the issues related to the Cloud server that have been affecting it over the last several weeks should be resolved. This includes the server's original incompatibility with the UBR_UPLOADER system phpmotion uses to handle video uploads.

     

    Update: Due to some errors clients may be encountering we will be reverting php back to 5.2 rather than 5.3

     

    UPDATE: 1:42AM EDT June 21 2011:

    Update: FFMPEG is currently not working and will need to be re-installed.

    We have sheduled the installation of FFMPEG at 10am tomorrow morning.

File System Check Scheduled Downtime (Resolved)

  • We will be taking the Galaxy server down for a file system scan/check.  The downtime will affect clients on Galaxy and all services will be down during the maintenance.  The file system check should take roughly 60 minutes however it may be shorter or longer depending on the status of the file system.  This is a routine maintenance and is done to ensure the integrity of the drives.  We will update progress once we begin and complete the task.
